Tristesse Contemporaine – I Didn’t Know

January 21, 2012

A little sinistry behind heaps of icy detachedment make I Don’t Know, all the more seductive. It is the new single by french trio, Tristesse Contemporaine and we are in love with the synths, beats and vocal effects (I digress, but it kind of sounds like the speaking bits of Insomnia (Faithless) against the backdrop of a Sigue Sigue Sputnik track). Much of the video is footage taken from the art film, The City, that provides a voyeuristic view of the streets of Manchester. As For Tristesse Contemporaine, expect a debut album, produced by Pilooski (Discodeine), to come out in March.
