We featured Ronika awhile ago here, and now she is back with a new single (meh), but killer freestyle mix that reminds us of early Madonna doing Shannon’s Let the Music Play. Now, saying that we enjoy such things is the sort of statement that under the wrong hands would normally scare the crap out of us, but Fear of Tigers created a fantastic mix that remains an homage to the source material yet keeps things current and fresh. We shouldn’t be suprised since this is the genius whose mix of The Sound of Arrows’ Into the Clouds made our choice as best song of 2009. This mix needs to be played loud.

Ronika Sampson is a one woman show from Nottingham who does it all: writes, sings and produces. Her new single, Forget Yourself, has a very 80s and very Tom Tom Club vibe complete with vocal dashings of Teena Marie thrown in. Sounds like a recipe for a hit.
