Oh Land is back; frolicking and dancing about, wearing a dress that looks like it’s made of hair and channeling her inner Stevie Nicks in her new video, Speak Out Now. The track is the title song to the Danish TV 2 television series, Rita.
Denmark born, but currently Brooklyn-based, Oh Land (Nanna Øland Fabricius) is out with a simply magical video for new single, White Nights, off her self-titled second album (debut for the US). Oh Land became darlings of the blogosphere with first single, Son Of A Gun, which became a massive viral hit (12 million hits and counting), but failed to chart (in any countries that we are aware of). Regardless, the buzz is building for this artist who has opened for OMD, will be opening for Katy Perry and who performed for the NewNowNext awards for LOGO.
Oh Land is back with another video track off their excellent self-titled album, this time with Rainbow, which has a simple, yet effective video, that was the result of a collaboration of preformances she did with artist Eske Kath, last March. In the video, singer Nanna Fabricius stands against a dark backdrop decked out in her signature glitter face paint, holding a ring of toy glitter houses, that reflect different colors throughout the song. I am assuming these colors represent…drumroll…please…” the rainbow”. It’s overall effect reminds of us an awfully alot of like when Marina and the Diamonds declared, “I am not a robot!”
