Hands are the Norwegian power pop duo of Hakon and Sofie, who hail from Bergen, the same town that brought us such favorites as Annie and Royksopp (there must be something in their drinking water). They are previewing their debut single, Wake Up, which will be released next week on Elsker, an imprint of Tellé Records. It’s a bittersweet tale that explores the feelings on both sides of a doomed relationship, and although things aren’t working out well for our couple, we are more than satisfied and mesmerized by the swooping synths that hook us in and melt our hearts.
