Clubfeet are back with new music and some new additions to their lineup. City of Light is the first release since their critically lauded debut album, Gold on Gold, back in 2010. We are digging the breezy and mellowing synths and foresee a summer hit. The prominence of synths may be the result of recent lineup changes. The original trio have expanded to five and they now incorporate live drums and have doubled their synths, which is always good in our playbook. City of Light comes packaged with another new track, This Time. Both are out now on Too Pure.
Clubfeet are an indie dance band hailing from Melboune, Australia. They make music in a simular vein as Cut Copy and Hot Chip. Last Words is taken from their debut album, Gold on Gold that came out last year. The lead single off that album, the Heathers-inspired Teenage Suicide (Don’t Do It) was one of our favorite ironic songs of last year, and we are totally digging this new single, whose simple spoke themed video is directed by Alex Goddard. As a bonus, we have also included some fantastic remixes by Dimitri From Paris and C90s that the band has graciously have made as free downloads.
