Circa Tapes – Adam and Eve

February 6, 2012

Chicago’s Circa Tapes cite Tangerine Dream as an influence, but we hear Fad Gadget and early Depeche Mode on Adam and Eve, a track that came out a few months ago, but that we have just discovered. We love the minimalism and vocal detachment, and it all brings us back to the golden age of synthpop, explored beautifully in the now classic documentary, Synth Britannia. Circa Tapes is the alterego of Adam Killing, one half of the band Kill Memory Crash. Unfortunately, we don’t know much else about it (there isn’t much information on his Facebook Page). Best of all, Circa Tapes is making Adam and Eve available as a guilt-free download.
