We recently featured as a free download, Holy Ghost‘s amazing reimagining of the classic Ministry track, I Wanted To Tell Her, and now have finally released a super rad video to accompany it. The video is based on the iconic 80′s movie, Rad, and features some impressive BMX tricks by LCD Soundsystem‘s Nancy Whang. The original version was recorded in 1981, by a then unknown Ministry, for their album, With Symphathy (Holy Ghost’s single cover is an homage to Ministry’s album cover). Ministry would soon abandon their synthpop roots in favor of industrial music, later metal, and lead singer Al Jourgensen has completely disassociated himself from that first album calling it an “abortion of an album.” Of course, we at bop2pop, found With Sympathy to be genius, and we are so happy Holy Ghost have rediscovered it. We love that these guys love all things 80s and this is the second video they have done to reference that decade (they did a shot-per-shot remake of an early Blue Order video too).
